The UVA Police Department would like to remind the University community:
- Call or text 9-1-1 in an emergency.
- Contact Safe Walk to request an escort from a UVA Ambassador via the Safety Substation on the Corner or by phone at 434-984-7622, ext. 406.
- Contact UTS OnDemand (formally known as Safe Ride) for on-demand van shuttle service that operates 10:00 pm-5:00 am when UTS buses are not in service. Call 434-242-1122 or use the TransLoc app.
- Charge-A-Ride provides taxi service in the Charlottesville area to students who find themselves without money or means to get home safely. Call 434-295-4131, charge the ride to UVA, and pay via SIS. Student ID required.
- Download the Rave Guardian safety app.
- Always be alert and aware of your surroundings.
- Report any suspicious activity to the police.
